Maddy van der Heijden
Maddy has 15 years’ experience working in academic administration. She gained insight into the AMBA and AASCB accreditation process whilst working at the Surrey Business School (University of Surrey), UK. Maddy joined H2 Software at the beginning of 2023 and is responsible for managing finance.
Hans van der Heijden
Hans is the director of H2 Software and a part-time Professor of Accounting at the University of Sussex Business School. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, and previously worked at Copenhagen Business School and PwC Amsterdam. Hans has held senior positions at University of Sussex Business School, incl. director of internationalisation, deputy dean, and acting Dean. During this time he was in charge of the School’s EQUIS accreditation and the development of the School's workload model.

Becky St. John
Becky joined H2 Software in 2026 as Client Success Manager. With over a decade of experience in software training, onboarding and customer success, she specialises in helping professionals get the most from complex platforms. Her background spans the education, governance and accountancy sectors, with particular expertise in educational data management, and she is a regular speaker at national data conferences for school and college leaders. She holds a BA Honours in Modern Languages from the University of Bristol.
Kara Ilsley
Kara is General Manager at H2 Software, overseeing Product Management and Information Security. She brings extensive experience from the UK higher education sector, with roles at Sheffield Hallam University—where, as Accreditation Officer for Sheffield Business School, she used Accredinator extensively.
Kara has also previously work at Royal Holloway, University of London; and London Metropolitan University. Before relocating to the UK, Kara worked in Australia in a variety of roles related to compliance and tendering. She holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from the University of Queensland; and is a certified ISO 27001: 2022 ISMS Lead Implementor.
Harvey Jensen
Harvey is a Software Developer at H2 Software. Harvey has a background in mechanical engineering. After graduating from the University of Bath, he began his career in IT consulting as a managed service application support engineer. In this role, he specialised in managing legacy systems for large UK National Systems clients, gaining significant experience in Linux-based environments while working on a variety of projects. Harvey now works alongside Hans & Kara maintaining and developing new features for the Accredinator and Dr Workload systems.
